The Medicare Sales Manager will build, maintain and lead an efficient, well trained, highly motivated and effective sales team. S/he will execute sales programs and strategies in accordance with approved policies and is responsible for managing sales activity which will meet or exceed the enrollment and growth goals for the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the day to day activity of a Medicare Advantage sales force
Drive exceptional performance and develop strategic plans of action that will lead to growth and retention of current and future members
Motivate and lead sales teams in self generation of leads and sales through canvassing and partnering with community based organizations, small businesses, faith based organizations, business improvement districts and various city agencies
Demonstrate how to develop and market sites to his/her team, help them assess viable locations and assess their knowledge of all required expectations. Manager is responsible for helping representatives identify these locations and have them repeat this activity to ensure production and retention goals are met
Focus on obtaining the greatest efficiency to achieve the best results commensurate with regulatory guidance. Manager must possess and maintain strong knowledge of all Medicare products and compliance regulations
Maintain up to date knowledge of all new guidelines and ensure staff adherence. Manager is responsible to take regular refresher trainings and pass examinations as required
Manager is required to maintain an active Accident and Health License and comply with all Continuing Education courses as necessary
Manager is responsible for developing the team and recruiting qualified Medicare Sales representatives, while utilizing various interviewing skills, to assess talent and experience
Develop and maintain relationships with various external partners such as small businesses, business improvement districts, community and faith based organizations, city agencies, etc. The manager is responsible for the business to business aspect of networking and referral development, opening of sites and coordinating events. Additionally, the manager is to maintain open communication with external partners through regularly scheduled meetings
Assure accountability through routine observation, reporting, performance measurement, and the preparation of coaching forms. Manager is responsible for daily observations and coaching sessions with team as determined appropriate. Observation and coaching forms should be completed according to HR guidelines. Manager is required to prepare grammatically correct documents to address performance and ensure appropriate follow up with Human Resources
Complete annual evaluations using all coaching and observation forms documenting a representative's performance. Manager is required to ensure appropriate documentation is prepared for disciplinary action as warranted
Obtain daily productivity results from all Sales Specialists, review, monitor and communicate ADP, rejection, cancellation and disenrollment reports to Director, Sr. leadership and representatives
Conduct ongoing audits of his/her team to ensure all data entries are completed and in accordance with compliance requirements (i.e. CMS calendars)
Successfully defend opinions with data driven analysis of and articulate recommended sales|marketing strategies
Ability to learn and effectively utilize different computerized programs such as: Microsoft Office, MP, SLX and etc.
Conduct daily site visits, and drive to multiple locations

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Must have a valid and unexpired NY Health & Accident License
Valid Driver's License and access to personal vehicle
Experience in the healthcare industry
Experience working in Medicare, managing/supervising a team of Field Marketing Reps and coaching/ mentoring Medicare sales team
Ability to manage a team of full time field employee's
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Must have good organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing while demonstrating proper grammar, spelling and punctuation
Demonstrable MS Excel or other spreadsheet software (e.g. Lotus) skills: ability to create and use Excel reports to manage information by using features such as search/find, sort/filter, formatting, inserting columns/rows/field, creating additional worksheets/tabs, formulas, and creating pivot tables

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
Experience with Medicare products
Bilingual a Plus

Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $98,400 - $142,205

All Other Locations (within approved locations): $84,400 - $125,545

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
